Sliding genioplasty leaves no external scarring. Implant placement may leave a small, discreet scar under the chin, though in many cases the incision can be made inside the mouth. A short course of antibiotics and pain relief is usually prescribed, and most patients can return to work within a week.

He is an active member of the Spanish Society of Plastic Surgery (SECPRE); the Spanish Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AECEP); and the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
Dr. Felipe Pinzón became a specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia and completed a Fellowship in Rhinoplasty under the mentorship of the prestigious surgeon Professor Süreyya Şeneldir, in Turkey. In addition, he has the title of University Specialist in Facial Medicine and Aesthetic Surgery, a Master in Aesthetic Medicine & Anti-Ageing, and a Master in Applied Anatomy.
