Achieve Your Ideal Chest

Mammaplasty, also known as breast surgery, aims to enhance, reduce, or lift the breasts to improve their shape and volume. If you are dissatisfied with the size or shape of your breasts, or if they have sagged over time or after pregnancy, mammaplasty can help you achieve your ideal chest.

At Esthetica, we specialize in breast surgeries that include lifting, augmenting, reducing, correcting asymmetry, replacing ruptured or encapsulated implants, treating tuberous breasts, and performing post-oncological reconstructions. For your safety and comfort, all breast surgeries are performed under general anesthesia, with the supervision of highly experienced anesthesiologists.

Breast Augmentation

Achieve the breast shape and volume you desire with our expert breast augmentation procedure.

During an augmentation mammaplasty, breast implants are carefully placed under the breast tissue or chest muscles. Using minimally invasive techniques, we insert the implants through small incisions, either in the lower breast fold or around the areola, ensuring that scars are nearly invisible. Most patients can go home just a few hours after the procedure and resume their normal activities (with the exception of physical exercise, which can typically be restarted in 3 to 4 weeks).

You can choose from a variety of implants, and our surgeons will recommend the best placement for optimal results.

We use only the highest quality implants that provide excellent projection, filling, and firmness. Our implants feature a highly stable cohesive gel and a patented 360º protective barrier, available in both round and anatomical shapes (with round implants often recommended for superior results). Sizes range from 100 to 730 cc, with various height and projection options. All our implants are CE and FDA certified and come with a lifetime replacement guarantee in case of postoperative rupture or Grade III or IV capsular contracture.

Breast Lift

Over time, factors such as pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or aging can cause breasts to become droopy, empty or flaccid. The chart below illustrates the various grades of breast ptosis (sagging):

The different grades of breast ptosis (sagging).

Breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, is designed to lift and rejuvenate the breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the sagging tissue, resulting in a more youthful appearance. During this procedure, it is also possible to enhance breast size with implants and reduce the size of the areola if necessary.

Before and after a breast lift surgery.

The surgery typically takes between two and three hours. Incisions are carefully made along the areas marked for tissue removal, tailored to the patient's anatomy. Excess skin is then removed, and the nipple and areola are repositioned to a higher, more natural-looking position. If desired, implants can be inserted to increase breast volume. Finally, the incisions are closed to shape the new breasts, with sutures placed around the areolas, potentially extending downward and horizontally under the breast fold.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, or reduction mammaplasty, aims to reduce breast volume, enhance breast shape, and often lift the breasts for a more youthful appearance. Breast reduction surgery not only alleviates physical discomfort but also enhances your overall body proportion and confidence.

The surgery typically lasts between two and three hours. First, pre-surgical markings are made on the chest and precise incisions are performed to outline areas of excess tissue to be removed. Next, excess skin and fat are carefully excised. Then, the nipple and areola are elevated to a higher, more natural position. The incisions are then closed, shaping the new breasts and ensuring perfect symmetry. Finally, sutures are placed around the areola, extending vertically and horizontally under the breast fold if necessary.

Tuberous Breast Correction

Tuberous breasts, also known as tubular or constricted breasts, are a congenital condition in which the breasts don’t develop normally during puberty. This can result in a narrow, elongated (tube-like) breast shape, a lack of volume in the lower breast, enlarged or puffy areolas, and tight, compressed breast tissue. Tuberous breasts may affect one or both sides, often leading to noticeable asymmetry and sagging. This condition can significantly impact a woman’s body image, confidence, and sense of femininity.

Comparison of a tuberous breast with a normal breast.

There are four recognized grades of tuberous breast deformity, and treatment is tailored according to the severity and individual anatomy.

Correction of tuberous breasts is a specialized procedure typically performed using a periareolar (around the nipple) incision — ideal when the areola needs to be reduced in size. During surgery, the tight fibrous ring at the base of the breast is released to allow for natural expansion of the lower pole. This helps to create a well-defined inframammary fold (the natural crease beneath the breast).

To achieve a harmonious and natural breast shape, the area is then filled using anatomical breast implants and/or the patient’s own fat (fat transfer). This helps restore volume, improve contour, correct asymmetry, and eliminate the tubular appearance.

Every procedure is uniquely planned based on the degree of deformity. High-profile, short-height anatomical implants are often used to enhance the lower part of the breast, and different implant sizes may be chosen for each side in cases of asymmetry. Fat transfer can also be considered to further refine volume and enhance overall aesthetics.
