To perform this browlift, the most commonly used technique creates incisions in the hairline, making them non-apparent to the eye.
Temporal Browlift
The temporal browlift acts on the lateral areas of the forehead. It corrects the crow's feet and elevates the tail of the eyebrows allowing the eyelashes to shine again in radiance. The mark of the temporal browlift is also discreet, since the incision is made at the hairline or on the scalp, depending on the used technique.
Cervicofacial Lift
One of the most visible signs of aging is the loss of volume in facial fat compartments, which over time succumb to the effects of gravity. This, combined to the loss of elasticity in other soft tissues, can lead to gradual sagging of the skin, ending up accumulated in the jaw and neck region.
A cervicofacial lift acts on the middle and lower thirds of the face. It reduces the deep folds that frame the nose and mouth, known as nasolabial folds; and the marionette lines that descend from the corners of the mouth to the chin. It corrects flabby cheeks and droopy cheekbones, eliminates the double chin and defines the jawline. It also reduces wrinkles, furrows and muscle bands in the neck. The incisions are made at the hairline and around the ears, as a result of which the marks are practically invisible.
The Deep Plane Technique
At Esthetica we avoid outdated techniques that only stretch the skin or make limited cuts with short duration results; hence we only recommend surgeons who use the most advanced lifting technique: the deep plane facelift, under a multivector approach.
The surgeon first elevates the skin and accesses the deep submuscular space, releasing the retaining ligaments (fibrous bands that act as anchor points, retaining and stabilizing the skin and superficial fascia to the underlying deep fascia and facial skeleton) allowing greater mobilization of the tissues. Further steps follow of lifting and repositioning the muscles and fat tissues that have moved down over time. This is carefully achieved, with minimal stretching of the skin, resulting in a completely natural appearance and improving the healing process of the skin; generally without the need to add fat and reducing the duration and cost of the procedure.
With this technique, the surgeon corrects nasolabial folds, repositions the cheekbones and enhances the jawline. Deep tissues and skin are tensed in different directions, as each structure requires a unique vector, before being adjusted to the surface of the face. In the neck, it is possible to release the cervical ligaments to improve the cervical angle and reduce muscle bands, generally without the need to perform the plication of the platysma.
Only with this technique is it possible to achieve a 100% natural result, moving each facial structure back to its position and obtaining a youthful appearance, up to 20 years younger.
